Hi, we are Kara and Tyler, the duo behind Derfcut Duo!

Our small batch business started with a simple idea: to create unique custom wood pieces that bring personality into a home.

What began as a hobby has grown into something more. We fell in love with the process of creating fun pieces and bringing them to life with paint, stain, epoxy and style!

Every piece we make is designed and crafted by hand using a combination of woodworking tools, scroll saw work, and laser-cut details. We focus on pieces that feel timeless, rustic, and personal - the kind of decor that tells a story.

Running a handmade business means long hours in the garage shop, plenty of sawdust, our kitchen table being overtaken by projects, paint stained clothes, and a lot of trial and error - but seeing a finished piece come together makes it all worth it.
